Description | Reporting to the Vice President and Director of Athletics, the Senior Assistant To provides senior secretarial support to the Hofstra Department of Athletics Executive Staff with the primary focus on the Vice President and Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains calendar, agenda, appointments and itineraries for the Vice President and Director of Athletics. Acts as liaison between student-athletes and athletic administration and coaches. Acts as liaison between summer camp staff, campers, and leadership. Assists with coordination of the Athletic Director’s meetings and travel arrangements as well as preparing expense reports, tracking deposit of receipts, and reviewing the accuracy of expense reports before final submission. Assists additional clerical and executive administrative staff with processing purchase orders, check requisitions, expense reports, deposit tickets, and deposit receipts. Assists with preparing, packaging, and managing Federal Express, UPS, and US Mail Shipments, as well as preparing orders for all office supplies inclusive of a current inventory. Performs other assigned duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications | Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills. Ability to learn the department’s computer systems for scheduling work orders and purchase orders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Salary/Salary Range | $46,141

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
