Job Summary/Basic Function:  | JOB PURPOSE:Ohio Revised Code (3333.162) requires that the Ohio Department of Higher Education (formerly Ohio Board of Regents) and the Ohio Department of Education work together to ensure that students at secondary career-technical institutions are able to transfer agreed upon technical courses to public colleges and universities without “unnecessary duplication or institutional barriers.” The purpose of the role is to combine the Ohio Department of Higher Educations’ CTAG process with the Ohio Department of Education’s Career Field Technical Content Standards revision process to create opportunities for credit that will help Ohio students.The Senior Associate Director of the Secondary Career-Technical Alignment Initiative will be responsible for implementing the components of quality pathways to postsecondary education for secondary career-technical students. The candidate selected shall provide direct support for the Perkins-funded Secondary Career-Technical Alignment Initiative (SCTAI) and the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network with the implementation of the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Strategic Plan.
Minimum Qualifications  | Master’s degree Minimum of three years of experience in some combination of the following areas: academic administration, academic program development, career advising/placement or academic advising for technical programs, student recruitment, or academic services Working knowledge of statewide career-technical articulation and transfer policies and procedures and familiarity with other statewide transfer initiatives Experience working with faculty in a collaborative manner Experience developing transfer/articulation agreement Strong technical skills and an understanding of technology An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications  | Ph.D. Five years of experience in higher education, preferably in articulation and transfer, including some supervisory experience Experience developing and leading trainings/workshops Ability to create and edit basic documents using Adobe products Working knowledge of the Course Equivalency Management System (CEMS)
Essential Functions and percent of time:  | 30% Oversee statewide compliance and implementation for (Career-Technical Assurance Guides) CTAGs and Industry Recognized Transfer Assurance Guides (ITAGs) with the following activities: Work directly with Provost appointed campus coordinators and other representatives to develop and track institutional CTAG and ITAG compliance goals. Monitor and analyze compliance for the state and identify target campuses with low compliance for a strategic and one-on-one approach which shall provide workshops and trainings technical support with CEMS, (CTAG) processes/policies, and curriculum alignment. Assist faculty and college/university staff in understanding alignment, submissions, and compliance of transfer initiatives related to CTE. Ensure timely and accurate course submissions in CEMS. 
25% Oversee the administration of the various web-based Articulation and Transfer services by completing the following tasks: Manage the course review process in the Course Equivalency Management System for CTAGs and ITAGs including finalizing submissions and preparing data reports. Ensure accurate data is reflected in the course reporting system and credit transfer tool. Maintain and upload the various data files throughout the year that support CTAV (Career-Technical Articulation Verification) and engage with OHTECH as needed when errors occur. Engage with secondary and postsecondary partners and representatives from D.E.W. to research and troubleshoot CTAV queries.
15%Support the development and revision of statewide secondary Career-Technical Assurance Guides and Industry Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides to support pathway development for career-technical students.15%Develop and refine communication tools that inform institutions and field constituents on the participation and compliance goals CT2 initiatives and compliance needs. Ensure the accuracy of compliance documentation and promote newly developed tools to Public Secondary and Post-Secondary career-technical institutions and evaluate the usefulness of communication tools.

Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):  | 10% Manage the faculty review panels for CTAGs and ITAGs by producing training materials and conducting training for institutional faculty.
5% Serve on projects and teams related to career-technical education and pathways; other related duties as assigned.

The Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network (OATN) is a consortium of the Ohio Department ofHigher Education. The employee in this position will be a Wright State University (WSU) employeeas WSU serves as the fiscal agent for the OATN consortium but the position is based inColumbus, Ohio and reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Articulation and Transfer at theOhio Department of Higher Education who is also the Executive Director of the OATN.
