Duties and Responsibilities  |

Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following
:
Provide excellent customer service to students and parents via phone, e-mail, walk-in, and other forms of engagement regarding all financial aid matters Conducts file review, preforms professional judgement, completes verification, and updates award packaging as required Monitors/maintains application statuses within the student information system Access federal and state systems (COD, NSLDS, GAP Access, FSA, etc.) to verify student aid eligibility Works closely with SSOM Student Affairs, Registration and Records, and the Office of the Bursar to ensure student aid eligibility is accurate and changes are recorded in a timely manner. Supports the Director with the administration of $5M in endowed, gift, and institutional aid funds to new and continuing students annually. Supports the Financial Aid Office by managing specific program area(s) such as R2T4, SAP, FWS, Scholarships, Consortium, Veterans, etc.. Provides personalized financial counseling programs to students and families on financial aid options, debt management, and loan repayment strategies. Conducts presentations and workshops supporting the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Parkinson School of Public Health, and other academic units. Supports the University through presentations to various public audiences including FAFSA workshops, financial wellness programs, orientations, and other admission events. Collaborate with campus partners to provide a holistic approach to service Performs other duties as required to maintain efficient financial aid operations.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience  | Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three – five years of related experience, or a combination of education and work experience. A solid knowledge of Federal and State Regulations are essential.

Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast pace environment PeopleSoft experience highly preferred.
