We are seeking a new Senior Clinical Editor, Medicine that will drive and lead the product strategy on assigned product lines.
How can you make an impact?
Reporting to the Senior Associate Publisher, you will be responsible for creating a roadmap to increase usage and drive growth on McGraw Hill’s Anesthesiology, OBGYN and Oncology Product Lines.
What you will be doing:
- Developing detailed product development strategies for revision plans for assigned specialties
- Cultivate a network of content experts in assigned disciplines
- Assess digital strengths and weaknesses
- Identify what needs to be added on digital platforms
- How to increase usage on digital platforms
- What type of optimization strategies are needed to improve usage
- Implement a digital roadmap with the overall goal of increasing market share and usage on the Anesthesiology, Oncology and OBGYN product lines
- Sign authors to updated books and to create digital features, such as Visual Abstracts, Board Review Prep Q & A and Case based materials within your product disciplines
- Identifying appropriate and qualified SME’s (subject matter experts), and contributors, to update your digital planforms on a regular basis
- Draft a 4-year publication plan, which would include timelines for revision plans and implement a print/digital review process for new content across your multiple medical specialties
- Researching and assessing market needs and interests in each of your specialties
You should apply if:
- You have proven success in Acquiring print and/or digital content.
- Acquisitions experience is needed to succeed in this strategic new role.
- Medical acquisitions or experience in the Sciences would be helpful
- Journal, Print, Digital Editorial Experience
- You have the ability to identify a vision for your product lines and implement a strategy by acquiring new authors/content for both digital and print products
- You have experience managing authors and setting expectations at launch
- You will be able to research and identify needs within your print and digital portfolio
- You possess strong project management skills, including the ability to manage collaboration across internal teams.
- You are analytical, know about product development, and possess excellent communication skills.

The pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $100,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
