About the Opportunity
Ellucian is seeking to hire a strategic and solutions focused on Colleague/Admissions-Registrar Sr. Consultant, as a member of our team, you will be instrumental in consulting with our customers and delivering value-added services that provide the quickest path to institutional success.  This role provides personalized and on-going guidance and support on Ellucian solutions and customer business operations post-implementation, enabling customers to maximize value from their solutions. The role works closely with the customer, building a relationship with the customer’s points of contact, understanding their business needs and the customer’s current use and knowledge of the Ellucian solution.  The Senior Consultant works with customers on assigned projects to identify solutions to business and functional problems.

The successful candidate will possess a strong functional understanding of the Student/ Admissions Modules and an overall understanding of Ellucian’s broad portfolio of solutions. Additional knowledge of touch points to the Degree Works Module is a plus.

Where you will make an impact
  • Provides high-quality customer consultation and support to Ellucian’s Colleague product suite, specifically Student/ Admissions Modules.
  • Assists customers with implementing new functionality into the Ellucian Student/ Admissions Modules.
  • Assists customers in troubleshooting issues related to Student/ Admissions Modules and other modules within the Ellucian Colleague product suite.
  • Contributes to the definition of client engagement activities. 
  • Leads and directs work of the functional team on customer projects.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced consultants and reviews their work. 
  • Interacts with the customer and other consultants to translate business requirements into functional specifications for conversions, reporting, interfaces and customizations. 
  • Monitors, tracks, and reports project risks, issues, milestones and work completed, as well as work that is underway. Provides leadership for the customer enabling them to stay on time and on task. 
  • Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause.
  • Facilitates business process review and application prototyping sessions as well as providing
  • Provides insight into best practice methodologies. 
  • Evaluates and modifies systems, where appropriate, relative to the customer business practices. 
  • Provides customer with high-quality business process, change management and other appropriate documentation. 
  • Implements modifications and/or updates. 
  • Provides direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for use during upgrades, patch application and customizations. 
  • Works with the customer to test and confirm modifications and/or updates meet specifications. 

What you will bring
  • Hands-on experience with Student/ Admissions Modules
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience working in a higher education Registrar/Admission Office(s) or equivalent consulting experience.
  • In-depth functional knowledge of business processes as related to Registrar/Admission Office(s) and functions within colleges and universities.
  • Expert knowledge of business process and Colleague operations within Registrar/Admission Office(s),
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
