The Senior Content Developer for Spanish Literacy is responsible for creating high-quality, research-based professional learning and educator support materials that drive teacher engagement and improve student outcomes in bilingual and dual-language classrooms. In collaboration with the AVP, PL Portfolio and the Literacy Content Manager, Implementation Manager, and Associate Director, the literacy product team, and the digital content team, this role leads the development and refinement of a strategic, coherent scope and sequence for Spanish-language professional learning aligned to educator and field needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in biliteracy instruction, knows how to design effective learning experiences, and can create original, culturally meaningful Spanish content that stays true to both the language and the learning goals. This role balances strategic planning with hands-on development, and requires strong collaboration, attention to detail, and exceptional written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

The impact you'll have:
  • Design, develop, and write Spanish-language professional learning content (on-site and online) that supports the implementation of Mosaico products and enhances educator practice
  • Define and maintain a high-quality scope and sequence for Spanish-language professional learning offerings, ensuring alignment with program goals and educator needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program teams, field experts, content strategists, and instructional designers to conceptualize meaningful, field-informed professional learning experiences
  • Create culturally and linguistically authentic Spanish-language content for educators and students, reducing reliance on translated materials and maintaining content integrity
  • Apply best practices in adult learning theory and bilingual pedagogy to design impactful professional learning that engages educators and drives program success
  • Support biliteracy implementation efforts by developing high-leverage educator resources and guidance documents for successful classroom use
  • Partner with Professional Learning Specialists to ensure content is field-ready and impactful for teachers and students
  • Innovate alongside the digital team to deliver Spanish-language content in accessible, interactive, and user-friendly digital formats
  • Identify content needs based on user feedback and performance data, and propose responsive solutions for continuous improvement
  • Participate in internal presentations and cross-departmental initiatives to elevate Spanish-language programming across the organization as needed

What we're looking for: 
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with demonstrated experience developing Spanish-language instructional or professional learning materials
  • Deep understanding of biliteracy development and early Spanish literacy pedagogy, including phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency in Spanish
  • 5+ years developing professional learning experiences and educator support materials, ideally for K–8 bilingual or dual-language programs
  • Strong skills in designing original Spanish-language content—not adapted or translated—preserving linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance
  • Extensive experience with instructional design tools and platforms such as Articulate, Adobe Suite, Smartsheet, Camtasia, and Zoom
  • Familiarity with both student-facing and adult-facing instructional models, with the ability to scaffold content for different learner needs and delivery formats
  • Experience supporting field-facing teams to align content development with on-the-ground realities and challenges
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects independently, meeting deadlines, and balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders, including biliterate team members and field experts
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment with a commitment to virtual collaboration and responsiveness
  • Prior school-based coaching experience and/or instructional design experience in the EdTech space
  • MS/MA in Education preferred, ideally with a focus in literacy, bilingual education, or curriculum and instruction 

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $60,750 - $99,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
