We are a dynamic team with elements of curiosity, quirk, and innovation. We’re looking for a Senior Recruiter to support hiring for Design roles. You will...
- Oversee the full recruiting process for Design positions including product experience, motion graphics, and illustration. You may also assist with hiring for other business and technical functions as needed.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and collaborators to understand team needs and refine role requirements.
- Review candidate portfolios and help assess design quality and craft in alignment with Duolingo’s aesthetic and standards.
- Drive an exceptional candidate experience from start to finish — delivering a distinct, and mindful process reflective of our values.
- Partner with talent attraction to shape and implement attraction strategies, including sourcing, branding initiatives, and industry engagement.
- Track and assess recruiting metrics to improve process efficiency and hire quality.
- Use a mix of internal and third-party tools, including AI.
You have...
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant time supporting design, creative, or marketing roles.
- Deep portfolio review experience, with the ability to recognize creative excellence.
- A proven track record of engaging and hiring diverse, high-quality creative talent.
- Familiarity with using tools and technologies to enhance recruiting, such as sourcing automation, candidate engagement, or data analysis.
- An ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems autonomously, and think on your feet.
- A collaborative spirit, you enjoy supporting teammates and creating an inclusive hiring culture.
- Experience ideating, building and experimenting with AI tools, like ChatGPT.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events or on-site activities.
- Ability to work or relocate to New York, NY.
Exceptional candidates will have...
- Previous experience recruiting for creative roles in tech, startups, or high-growth companies.
- Deep knowledge of the design and creative hiring landscape, including current trends and platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like Gem, Guide, and Greenhouse.
- An impressive Duolingo streak!
We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. Your recruiter can share more details about the range for a specific level during the hiring process. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
Salary Range:
$116,500—$189,800 USD
