Advertised Job Summary | The Senior Data Analyst plays a key role in advancing the University of South Carolina’s data-driven decision-making efforts within the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Analytics (OIRAA). This position is responsible for designing, managing, and analyzing complex data systems to ensure accurate and efficient reporting for institutional accountability at both state and national levels, including IPEDS and SC CHE submissions. The Senior Data Analyst supports OIRAA’s mission to deliver reliable data and insights to senior leadership, the university community, and external stakeholders, contributing to informed planning, policy development, and strategic decision-making across the institution. |

Job Duty | Develops information systems and prepares census data related to student, courses, instructors, facilities and financial aid. Supports the whole process from data query/extraction/coding, report preparation, data validation to final submissions. Proactively works with other departments to fix data problems in the information systems and ensure quality, integrity, accuracy and timely submission of CHEMIS data. Appropriately archives CHEMIS data for reporting, analysis and benchmarking. |
