About the role
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in uncovering actionable insights and shaping strategic decision-making across the business. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on critical thinking, business context, and the proactive identification of opportunities through data.
This is not a reporting analyst role. While you'll help ensure that core metrics are accurate and accessible, your primary focus will be pushing beyond the “what” into the “why” and “what next.” You’ll automate routine reporting where possible and use that foundation to explore deeper insights, find untapped opportunities, and help drive the business forward. From day one, you'll be empowered to lead analysis that helps us move faster, think deeper, and act smarter.
About you
- Strategic Thinker: You love getting into the why behind the data. You're not satisfied with surface-level answers—you want to know what’s really going on and what we should do about it.
- Opportunity Seeker: You don't wait for analysis requests—you generate them. You think like an owner and seek out ways data can improve our processes, performance, and customer experience.
- Not a Reporting Analyst: You believe dashboards should work for you, not the other way around. You help automate baseline reporting so your time is spent on deeper analysis, not repetitive tasks.
- Business Fluent: You understand the business and how to connect metrics to meaningful outcomes. You take the time to learn how teams work and tailor your analysis to drive action.
- Clear Communicator: You can translate complex findings into clear, persuasive narratives for stakeholders at all levels. You’re skilled at storytelling with data.
- Execution-Oriented: You move fast, iterate often, and deliver high-quality insights. You thrive in ambiguity and turn loosely defined problems into structured analysis. You are able to balance speed vs. accuracy and can provide recommendations on the most effective problem-solving approach.
- AI-Forward Thinker: You actively explore ways to incorporate AI and automation into your workflows—whether for faster analysis, smarter insights, or better documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Impact Analysis: Identify and execute on analysis that directly impacts business outcomes. You’ll own complex, ambiguous problem areas and drive to clarity and action.
- Drive Strategic Insights: Surface trends, risks, and opportunities through thoughtful investigation. Separate signal from noise and help teams focus on what matters.
- Automate and Elevate: Build and maintain foundational dashboards and reporting tools that answer recurring questions at scale—so you can spend more time exploring what’s new and unexplored.
- Influence Decision-Making: Partner closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, operations, and leadership to inform decisions with evidence and logic.
- Prioritize Business Value: Push beyond the original request to get to the root of the question. Frame analyses to address the underlying business objective.
- Enable Data Fluency: Help teams understand the data they’re working with. Offer training, documentation, and strategic support to improve data literacy.
- Champion AI & Automation: Explore and implement AI-driven tools to accelerate your work, from documentation to data exploration to presentation.
