Job Description
The IAR Senior Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, processing, analyzing, and reporting on data to produce rigorous, actionable insights and research. They establish and maintain strong relationships with peers and leaders across IAR, Data Engineering, Product Management, Finance, EdTech, and Faculty staff. They perform ad hoc analyses, build standard reports and data visualizations, and deliver information and insights through various methods and media that privilege data storytelling and compress time-to-action.

What you'll do:

What you bring: 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Sociology, Public Policy, Education) 
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, institutional research, or education equity analytics. 
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing equity gaps in student or community outcomes  
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Tableau. 
  • Strong communication skills—you can turn complex data into stories that move people to act. 
Bonus points if you have: 
  • Experience analyzing survey data and sense of belonging measures. 
  • Familiarity with qualitative or mixed-methods approaches. 
  • Experience working with education nonprofits, philanthropy, or mission-driven institutions. 
  • Proficiency in Python or R. 

Work Location: 
  • This is a full-time, in-office position at WGU's headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. You'll work side-by-side with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, researchers, and educators committed to data-informed innovation.
