The Senior Design Project Manager is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the overall management of Design team projects, and may be put in charge of several projects at once. Senior Design Project Managers oversee the day-to-day tasks of the Math and Literacy Design teams to collaboratively manage resources, schedules, and deliverables through all phases of product development – from initial content ideation to Agile methodologies.
The impact you'll have:
- Set and continually manage project expectations and goals, while delegating and managing deliverables with design team members and stakeholders.
- Help manage priorities across Math and Literacy Design teams through all phases of product development, including discovery, definition, development, and implementation.
- Oversee Agile processes and manage interdependencies between Agile scrum teams and content teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across Design initiatives.
- Collaborate with Design, Content and Technical leads to establish, update, and communicate a master project schedule and manage its implementation across all of Design.
- Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
- Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
- Identify complex risks, create risk mitigation, and implement action plans.
- Work with Design Directors to provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Serve as a key point of contact for Product Managers on content and technical teams by effectively connecting content and Agile processes.
- Establish practices, templates, policies, and tools to expand and mature project management capabilities for the Design organization.
- Maintain a strong understanding of organizational goals, strategies, and missions.

Not required, although we'd love:
- Demonstrated ability with Jira and Smartsheet tracking software.
- Prior design experience, or prior experience closely collaborating with design teams.
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $50.00 - $60.00 per hour. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
Benefits – Temporary and per-diem employees who average at least 30 hours of work per week within the Company’s look-back period are eligible to enroll in medical coverage after 90 days of employment. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.
