This is a hybrid role in our Newton, MA office and requires 3 days a week onsite.

Work as an integral software delivery team member delivering world-class, scalable, and robust solutions. Design and build DevOps infrastructure and workflows towards achieving Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment and Continuous Monitoring

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Create, configure, and execute on-going or newly proposed processes and a variety of projects
  • Design and implement cloud-based tools and environments
  • Communicate the workflows and vision across the IT organization
  • Create documentation for CI/CD infrastructure for training and reference.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to help define and execute requirements
  • Conduct design and code reviews and provide feedback on engineering best practices
  • Mentor and guide other devops/software engineers within the team.
  • Provide support to production. Diagnose and quickly resolve production issues
  • Research and champion new technologies and approaches. Learn and prototype. Make recommendations based on upcoming product and project road map.

Receives general direction and exercises some independent judgement

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, 3 years of experience would be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience in improving efficiency and achieving Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment
  • 3+ year of experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hosted infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience with any infrastructure automation tool (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Packer, Vault, Chef, SaltStack)

Preferred skills/qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant to computer technology preferred
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration with knowledge of security, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with SDLC Management software and solutions
  • 2+ years of experience with modern micro-service oriented architecture.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tools (Atlassian, JIRA, Maven, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins).
  • Prior DevOps experience in improving efficiency and achieving Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment.
  • Proven experience in building DevOps infrastructure and creating multiple environments.
  • Fluency with GIT and the GITFLOW branching methods.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell.
  • Well-rounded development knowledge in any modern language (C#, HTML, CSS, Java, Python)
  • Good understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology
  • Basic understanding of SQL, relational and non-relational databases.
  • General and Cloud networking understanding/knowledge like Subnet, VNET, TCP/IP and DNS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Experience automating processes as much as possible.
  • Experience analyzing and strengthening existing infrastructure for reliability, availability, security and scalability.
