Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Clinical Operations and Program Support will be responsible to ensure university partner clinical operational readiness through consultative services and collaborative establishment of best practices strategies to support program transition and expansion and provide program support of the portfolio of healthcare and nursing pre-licensure and post-licensure education programs.

Main Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and Nursing Center of Excellence leadership, responsible for consultative services and promotion of best practices to support clinical program operational readiness, programmatic efficiency, and future enrollment growth for healthcare and nursing programs.
• Serve as subject matter expert for clinical operations for healthcare and nursing programs to include prelicensure, graduate programs (nurse practitioner, DNP), allied health, public health, social work, and other experiential site-based education programs within the university partner portfolio.
• Establish relationships with program leadership, practice coordinators, and faculty to foster collaboration and partnership on strategies and solutions to address clinical operation needs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical operation readiness assessment and conducts analysis of findings with development of recommendations and timelines and ongoing performance monitoring of program operational readiness during program launch through life of partnership.
• Provide consultation on strategies for managing clinical readiness documentation, clinical management system solutions, and the monitoring of completion of clinical requirements and student progression, and program completion data.
• Assess need for program leadership development concerning clinical operations program design and delivery to support program scalability with attention to risk mitigation and develops and implements tailored training and resources as needed.
• Meet regularly with university partners to maintain relationships and monitor operational best practices.
• Create and maintain database for monitoring effective partner program clinical operational management to support program growth and student progression.
• Support academic program planning for launch of new programs and the promotion of program success attributes to ensure on-model program design.
• Provide ongoing programmatic support for existing partners and works collaboratively with program partner leadership to identify program improvements and future offerings.
• Serve as internal healthcare and nursing education SME and develops and provides resources as appropriate to internal and external stakeholders.
• Research third-party providers to facilitate university partners’ clinical components and facilitates introductions to vendors and preferred pricing partners.
• Support delivery of faculty professional and development of partner facing resources supporting for accelerated online program success and various healthcare and nursing program teaching modalities (online, lab, clinical, simulation).
• Monitor healthcare workforce and industry changes for potential impacts on university partners and programs and appropriately escalate findings and potential impacts to all relevant internal stakeholders.
• Research current market conditions, industry projections, and other data pertinent to healthcare programs to inform internal business decisions.
• Address topical issues related to nursing education through presentations, workshops, and white papers.
• Work collaboratively with the following internal stakeholders to support program success: Managing Directors, Partner Support, Enrollment Services, Retention Services, and Marketing.
• Supports Chief Academic Office and Nursing Center of Excellence leadership in general activities and additional duties as assigned to ensure business continuity.
• Responsible for creating and delivering internal trainings on clinical operation support services for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Supports business development and sales efforts as needed.
• May have managerial oversight of direct reports.
Job Requirements:
- Doctorate degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years healthcare experience required.
- 5+ years work experience specific to hospital administration or academic clinical student placement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years preferred in online higher education.
- Previous experience collaborating with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with PM software.
- Quality Matters Certification preferred.
