The Senior Director of Effectiveness is responsible for driving measurable business outcomes through strategic learning programs that build critical knowledge, skills, and capabilities across our sales, customer, and partner ecosystems. This player-coach role will lead a high-performing team of program managers who operate learning initiatives as business-critical operations, embodying and championing Agile values and continuous improvement principles within Cornerstone U. The Senior Director will leverage Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to create responsive, iterative learning solutions that prioritize business impact over activity metrics, learner experience over rigid structures, value creation over perfectionism, and adaptability over prescriptiveness—ensuring our programs deliver tangible results that advance organizational performance.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Program Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive learning effectiveness strategy that directly supports business objectives and measurable outcomes across sales, customer, and partner ecosystems.
- Business-Driven Learning Management: Lead program managers in running learning initiatives as business operations—overseeing scheduling, organization, monitoring, maintenance, reporting, and effectiveness analysis to drive tangible business results
- .Agile Methodology Implementation: Champion Agile approaches within the organization, applying Plan-Do-Review-Adapt cycles to ensure programs remain responsive to evolving business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish frameworks for ongoing program optimization through data analysis, learner feedback, and business impact metrics to continuously enhance effectiveness.
- Design Thinking Application: Apply human-centered design principles to deeply understand audience needs and create innovative learning solutions that address core business challenges.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with sales leadership, customer organization, partner teams, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure learning initiatives directly support strategic priorities.
- Performance Analytics: Develop comprehensive metrics and analytics approaches that demonstrate the direct business impact of learning initiatives on sales performance, customer success, and partner effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of program managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and business focus.
You have what it takes if you have…
- 10+ years of experience in learning program management, sales enablement, or related fields, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing complex learning operations
- Proven business acumen and ability to translate learning initiatives into measurable business outcomes
- Demonstrated expertise in applying Agile methodologies to learning operations, with success in iterative program development
• Experience running learning programs as business operations with accountability for results
- Proven track record of using Design Thinking and human-centered approaches to create impactful learning solutions that solve business challenges
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Strong analytical skills for measuring program effectiveness and driving data-informed decisions
- Experience fostering cross-functional collaboration and influencing across organizational levels
- Knowledge of learning technologies, analytics platforms, and tools that support program effectiveness
• Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced technology environment

The disclosed salary range reflects the geographic differential based on the location of the position if applicable. The starting salary for the successful applicant will depend on several job-related factors, including education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, and market demands.
