Overview
The Senior Director of Human Resources will serve as a key leader working closely with the VP of Talent Management and Division Leaders to support the people and talent goals of School Solutions. This role will oversee employees relations; support execution of talent strategy, initiatives, and key processes; and execute compensation programs. The Senior Director of HR is part of the senior leadership team for School Solutions.
In addition, The Senior Director of Human Resources will support the HR needs of the FullBloom Shared Services group (~120 people).
Responsibilities
Employee Relations – Oversee strategy and logistics of HR administrative functions
- Facilitate performance improvement plans (and other official performance-related actions) where needed; ensure documentation and recording
- Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and between employees and managers; serve as HR escalation point for employees
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance in investigating employee matters; work with centralized team to address and track post-investigation recommendations
- Advise business leaders to ensure compliance with all federal, state and city laws relating to benefits, compensation, employment, and training
- Provide input into employee-related policies (e.g., leave, attendance).
Talent Strategy and Management – Support execution of talent strategy, initiatives, and key processes
- Create and review relevant data on key metrics, such as headcount and turnover; codify results
- Support or lead special projects as needed
- Advise and support performance evaluation process including assessments, calibration, report trends or issues
- Advise and support managers in addressing performance issues or opportunities
- Coordinate with Service Center on centrally-managed onboarding activities
- Implement some training programs
- Collect exit information (with interviews and/or surveys)
Compensation – Execute compensation programs
- Execute cyclical comp review according to strategic plan and within windows defined by talent strategy
- Support leaders in making individual compensation decisions
- Provide feedback to central FullBloom benefits team regarding needed benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, compensation frameworks, and employee relations best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and change management skills.
- Experience in educational or mission-drive organizations preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS and survey/communication platforms preferred.
Pay Rate
USD $140,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
