Senior Director of Product Marketing (Boston, MA). Be the senior level marketing voice in product strategy and development on the Product Leadership team along with the VPs of Product. Set a product marketing strategy for the Product Marketing team that supports the product and business strategy for Cengage Academic. Strategize with the Product Marketing Directors on the end–to-end marketing activities from value proposition and vision creation to product information dissemination through all aspects of marketing campaign development and go-to-market execution. Partner with Product and Technology leadership teams on understanding product's current and vision state and being the voice of Marketing. Lead and direct the Product Marketing Directors in the development of effective sales enablement and marketing enablement strategies, tools, and tactics to empower the Marketing and Sales teams to drive sales, activations, usage and advocacy of Cengage product(s). Provide direction and leadership to the Product Marketing teams to ensure strong development and positioning of key products to influence and increase the close and activation of high-value business across disciplines and markets. Be the lead marketer to support ongoing business transformation efforts and refocus on priorities and become an expert at change management. Telecommute benefit available. Requirements: Master's degree in any field plus five (5) years of experience developing, leading and executing marketing strategies for Higher Education, including brand positioning, and sales and marketing enablement or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in any field and seven (7) years of experience developing, leading and executing marketing strategies for Higher Education, including brand positioning, and sales and marketing enablement. Candidates must possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) driving brand ownership and leading the creative development of content for Higher Education web properties. DE driving the vision, mission, goals and strategies needed to execute the value propositions for products and services. DE overseeing product marketing activities to ensure consistency with the overall web strategy and analyzing the tracking results of web content. DE in the conceptualization, build and execution of B2B marketing campaigns for digital platforms and products within Higher Education. DE overseeing print and digital pricing, product proposals, and signings. DE building marketing plans in collaboration with product teams to launch education products to the market, providing pricing strategy for SEM and run marketing campaigns to acquire new users. Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
