About the role...
We are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to join our Executive Operations team. In this role, you will partner directly with Duolingo’s Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Design Officer to provide advanced administrative support. You’ll also offer lighter-touch support to our VP of Product Design and other VPs, and collaborate closely with the Executive Operations team.
This is a highly visible position that requires exceptional judgment, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You will...
  • Support two C-level leaders (Design and Marketing), with a focus on calendar management, travel coordination, internal event planning, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Offer limited, reactive support to multiple VPs in similar areas.
  • Contribute to the health, collaboration, and continuous improvement of the Executive Operations team.
 
You have...
  • 10+ years of experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role, with significant time spent at a fast-paced, tech-centric company at a comparable or later growth stage than Duolingo.
  • Ability to work in-office Monday through Thursday.
  • A proven track record of anticipating needs and solving problems proactively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in managing calendars, coordinating travel, planning events, and written communication.
  • High tech-savviness, with active experimentation in AI and automation tools.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with a wide range of personalities and functions.
  • Resilience in navigating shifting calendars, evolving priorities, and organizational change.
  • Experience leading and executing large-scale events (100+ people).
  • Experience supporting global teams with frequent travel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, primarily between Pittsburgh and NYC for internal events.
  • Alignment with reporting into Duolingo’s People function as part of the Executive Operations team.
 
Exceptional candidates will have...
  • Experience supporting Design and/or Marketing executives.
  • Experience supporting executives based outside the U.S.
  • EA-specific proficiency in G Suite, Slack, Zoom, MacOS, and generative AI tools.

The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.

Salary Range: 
$130,900—$222,000 USD
