Senior, Financial Aid Administrator Full Description

Job Summary
The Senior Financial Aid Administrator at Purdue Indianapolis provides cross-functional support to prospective and current students, parents, and University partners in the areas of registration, financial aid, and bursar billing and payments. In this role, you will offer proactive, problem-solving assistance by answering financial aid, bursar, and registrar questions; analyzing student accounts; counseling students and families; resolving complex issues; managing document submissions across departments; and communicating with current and prospective students. You will perform these responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercising a high level of professional judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
 
This position is required on-campus 100% of the time.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years in one or more of the following financial aid, bursar, registrar or relevant experience such as client services or financial services. 

Skills needed:
  • Excellent analytical and counseling skills.
  •  Experience with automated systems, knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies and regulations, 
 
What is helpful:
  • Bursar/Registrar experience preferred
