Senior Financial Analyst Full Description

Position Summary: Serve as a lead analyst on balance sheet accounts and statement of activities accounts assigned by analyzing, reconciling, and documenting processes in runbooks. Liaise between NYU's real estate portfolio and accounting to ensure proper recording and reconciling. Point person for intercompany processes and transactions. Seek out and identify various process improvement projects and propose solutions. Provide ongoing assistance to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience with audit, analysis and reconciliation of large, complex bank accounts or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years relevant experience with audit, analysis, and reconciliation of large, complex bank accounts or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work effectively with individuals at all levels. Skilled in analyzing problems and implementing effective management solutions and establishing priorities. Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and database software. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as they apply to banking transactions

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Fame (the University's general ledger system), Workday financials

Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
