The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the development, analysis, and management of clinical, operational, and financial reports to evaluate trends, performance, and operational needs across Radiology outpatient off-site activities. The Senior Financial Analyst will maintain, develop, and manage reports and dashboards. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with the Associate Director of Finance to provide analytical, financial, and budgetary support for the preparation of budgets and business plans.
Responsibilities
- Extract, analyze, and interpret clinical, operational, and financial data from systems such as Epic, Cognos, ARC, and other reporting platforms to support reporting and decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and manage recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards related to volume, utilization, productivity, revenue, expenses, and operational performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, trends, and variances across Radiology outpatient off-site activities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual clinical, operational, and financial reports for leadership review.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entry support, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets by providing analytical support, volume trends, staffing assumptions, and financial projections.
- Support the development of business plans by analyzing operational needs, volume projections, staffing ratios, expenses, and revenue assumptions.Â
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and finance teams to validate data, improve reporting accuracy, and support strategic and operational initiatives.
- Work with the Revenue Cycle team to prepare and analyze reports comparing projected and actual revenue performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and operational performance.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and special project support as requested by leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, healthcare administration, business, data analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional certification.
- Minimum of 4â5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, healthcare analytics, clinical analysis, or business reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with clinical, operational, and financial data, along with proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reporting tools and systems such as Epic, Cognos, ARC, Power BI, or similar platforms preferred.
- Experience in an academic medical center or hospital.
