, located at the District Office. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department’s needs.

Under the direction of the Manager, Network and PC Services, performs a wide variety of highly specialized technical tasks to support the design, installation, and maintenance of wide area, layer 2-7 networking hardware/software. Positions in this classification provide District-wide support of multiple core infrastructure subsystems that service all campus computing needs including administrative, instructional, and contract education environments. This position may act as a lead and coordinate work with District Network Specialists with a variety of areas of technical expertise.

Desired Qualifications |
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting HP and Dell server infrastructure, vCenter, ESXi, Microsoft Server, including backup solutions and Disaster Recovery. Proficiency in installing and supporting Extreme core, distribution, and access networking equipment, including fabric configurations. Ability to monitor, customize, and analyze network performance metrics. Experience with installing and supporting enterprise wireless infrastructure. Ability to troubleshoot, establish and maintain Enterprise firewall configurations. Proficiency in installing and configuring various network patch cabling, including category 6 UTP copper and both single and multimode fiber with their various connector types. Experience with remote access support including remote access VPN, site-to-site VPN, and VDI. Knowledge of information security systems, including but not limited to email security platforms, Microsoft Defender, Security Operations Center, DLP, and self-learning AI solutions. Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Entra services, including but not limited to Teams calling, SharePoint, and Office 365. Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts such as MS Graph, PowerShell, YAML, and Power Automate. Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Active Directory in an enterprise environment. Ability to establish and maintain DNS internal and external naming standards, IP assignments including static IP, DHCP scopes, and IP reservations. Experience using an enterprise service desk ticketing system for task and work assignments and ensuring client contact follow-up. Ability to establish and maintain Data Center infrastructure configurations, including following department standards for building and deploying equipment racks, redundant Power Distribution Units utilizing Uninterruptible Power Supplies, and cabling plant organization. Sensitivity and understanding of persons of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds. Experience supporting and maintaining all components of Mitel systems, including emergency broadcasting, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years or more relevant hands-on professional IT experience.
