Position Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving learning solutions that enable learners to build skills, retain knowledge, and apply learning across the organization and the extended network. The role serves as a consultative learning partner to Engineering Services, collaborating across teams to understand business priorities, performance gaps, and future-state capabilities.
This role combines instructional design expertise with hands-on ownership of learning deployment and administration within the Learning Management System (LMS). The associate ensures learning solutions are not only well-designed, but also strategically aligned, effectively implemented, measured, and sustained through the LMS. The associate is expected to lead and guide stakeholders toward effective learning approaches rather than solely executing predefined plans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Learning Consultation
- Consult with Engineering Services teams to understand current and future capability needs, workflows, and performance challenges
- Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze learning needs and define meaningful learning objectives
- Incorporate adult learning principles and best practices to support skill application and retention
- Recommend learning strategies, modalities, and solution approaches aligned to business outcomes (e.g., training, performance support, job aids, or blended solutions)
- Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning experiences
- uide subject matter experts and stakeholders in transforming complex technical concepts, requirements, and workflows into clear, engaging, and learner-centered content.
- Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile) appropriately based on scope, urgency, and complexity
- Develop storyboards, scripts, simulations, job aids, assessments, and knowledge checks
- tilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline) to create and package learning content for seamless integration and delivery within the online LMS.
- Challenge peers and leadership constructively to ensure learning solutions align with organizational goals, learner needs, and performance outcomes
LMS Management & Implementation
- Manage and administer learning solutions within the LMS, including course creation, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Implement curricula, learning paths, certifications, and assignments aligned to business and capability needs
- Configure assessments, completion rules, prerequisites, and reporting structures
- Maintain LMS content governance, version control, and documentation standards
- Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot LMS-related issues and implement improvements
- Serve as a subject matter resource for effective LMS use in support of learning strategy and scalability
Measurement, Insight & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor learning effectiveness using LMS data, assessments, and learner feedback
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate learning impact and refine solutions based on performance outcomes, adoption, and system changes
- Identify opportunities to improve learning effectiveness, efficiency, and learner experience
Maintain and update learning content as tools, systems, and processes evolve
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences or related field
- 7-10 years of experience
- Experience designing technical or systems-based training for adult learners
- Hands-on experience management and deploying learning solutions within an LMS
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical learning experiences
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise)
Preferred:
- Experience administering enterprise LMS platforms
- Experience building learning paths, certifications, and reporting tools
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, including active exploration and application of emerging learning technologies, instructional design practices, and industry trends.
