Description

Position: Senior Instructional Designer

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of learning programs, with a strong focus on creating engaging and scalable eLearning solutions. This role partners closely with business partners and subject matter experts to diagnose needs and deliver innovative learning experiences that support business strategy. The Senior Instructional Designer also consults with the Learning and Development (L&D) team providing expertise in instructional design best practices, enhancing existing in person and virtual training, and supporting key aspects of Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and develop innovative and high impact learning solutions that incorporate adult learning methodologies, creative design, and effective interactions that provide learning outcomes.
  • Consult with L&D, clinical and operational experts to pinpoint capability gaps, and design prioritized learning solutions that align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to ensure mandatory training is developed, tracked, and reported to appropriate leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners across the company.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning initiatives.
  • Lead large scale complex instructional design projects.
  • Stay informed on evolving learning trends and leverage industry best practices to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Utilize advanced authoring tools and LMS platforms to develop multimedia-rich, accessible learning content.
  • Evaluate and establish performance metrics and provide leadership reports demonstrating impact and value of training.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of designing and developing end-to-end eLearning courses
  • Proven expertise in Articulate Storyline, video editing, and content authoring tools
  • Advanced proficiency in learning technologies including AI enhancements and LMS platforms, preferably HealthStream
  • Ability to manage competing and changing priorities in an environment of rapid growth
  • Self-driven with proven ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative environment
  • Presentation skills
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive outcomes
  • Experience owning projects end to end 
  • Clinical training experience and graphic design skills are highly desirable
