Job Summary and Description
Leads and collaborates with faculty, administrators, and instructional staff on the design, development and evaluation of hybrid and online instructional programs, materials, methods, student support systems, teaching and assessment techniques.

Reports to the Department of Alamo Colleges Online.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, computer science, communication’s or a related field; or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Four years of instructional design and technical writing experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in instructional design theory.
  • Experience with Content Management System and/or Learning Management Software (CMS/LMS).
  • Four years of experience managing large scale instructional design programs/projects.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
  • Must have completed the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop.
  • Must have completed the Higher Ed Peer Reviewer (PRC) course or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required certifications for delivery of varied professional certification courses (online/F2F) with internal and external professional partners.
