Senior Instructional Designer, Human Resources Full Description

Position Summary: 
Plans, coordinates, conducts, and evaluates training and educational programs with installed corporate applications.
 
Office is located in downtown Orlando.
 
Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Monday/Friday remote
 
Role Overview
  • Leads instructional design efforts and provides guidance to lower‑level instructional designers
  • Serves as a key point of contact to drive engagement and collaboration across stakeholders
  • Manages and balances 2–3 projects concurrently
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing and occasional training sessions with other designers

Responsibilities: 
  • Designs and delivers interactive learning across organization based on key initiatives.
  • Analyzes training needs, develops, and administers training plans and procedures, prepares training materials and conducts special courses to ensure appropriate levels of training for team members, providers, students, and vendors.
  • Demonstrates above average use and knowledge of technological capabilities for media design, development, programming, and advanced image editing for E‑Learning projects.
  • Proficient in commercial software, including authoring and animation programs, to develop interactive courseware and computer assisted instructional materials.
  • Proficient authoring tools, graphic design tools, and scripting languages in the design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of E‑Learning applications.
  • Ensures that end users interact with systems in the way they were trained and educated. Recognizes deviation from standard use and educates staff.
  • Instructs train‑the‑trainer classes for content handoff.
  • Conducts needs assessments with Subject‑Matter‑Experts to develop learning materials for Team Members.
  • Reviews class materials to enhance or modify classes.
  • Always demonstrates a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Effectively communicates with learning partners and subject‑matter experts.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of learning design and delivery.

  • Communicate and manage global client base including updates related to enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Acts as a mentor for learning partners and Instructional Designers.
  • Applies adult education principles to the overall program framework and materials used for systems education.
  • Documents and tracks the outcome of educational endeavors.
  • Participates as a learning program planner for company‑wide implementation projects.
  • Fosters an attitude related to the benefit and opportunities of lifelong learning.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
 
Qualifications:
Education and Training
Bachelor degree required.
Associate degree and five (5) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).

Experience
Five (5) years of experience in adult learning or education required.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
