Who We Are:
Our iOS engineering team is dedicated to building compelling and reliable in-app experiences for our users, directly contributing to our mission of creating opportunity for all through mobility. This new hire will play a crucial role in evolving our core mobile platform. We do, and you will, support the business through the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of new features in our iOS applications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to peersIdentify opportunities for significant improvements to app architecture, CI/build processes, and performance
- Participate in our rotating on-call support for iOS applicationsSustain existing code by fixing bugs and monitoring app performance
Who You Are:
You are a skilled iOS Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding experience, inspired by the opportunity to define a new category in a fast-growing market. You are excited to learn, grow, and collaborate to achieve our mission. With the following skills, you’ll make a tangible and immediate impact:
- 5+ years of professional experience developing applications for the Apple iOS ecosystem
- Ability to translate functional acceptance criteria into manageable units of work
- Embraces an open-minded and collaborative approach to problem-solving and teamwork
- Experience with the following technologies: Swift, UIKit, MVC, MVVM, Combine, XCTest, Cocoapods, Swift Concurrency, SPM, Alamofire, GitHub, Circle-CI
- Prior experience building extensible, data driven iOS software.
- Demonstrated proficiency integrating with HTTP & Socket data APIs using one or more of the following: REST, JSON-RPC, gRPC, etc.
- Ability to foster collaboration across teams, organizations, and even external partners
- Comfortable working with asynchronous/concurrent programming paradigms in the iOS ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of the UIKit layout system, with emphasis on autolayout.

HopSkipDrive is proud to operate as a drug-free workplace. HopSkipDrive is also committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $170,000. This position is remote and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
