About the role
Credo is seeking a Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Manager based out of the San Jose Office who will report into the Director, People Experience. This role is responsible for designing and delivering learning solutions that build capability, close performance gaps, and advance business strategy across a global organization. The ideal candidate is a consultative, hands-on L&D professional who brings both strategic thinking and practical execution. Must be bilingual in English and Mandarin, comfortable working with international audiences, and willing to travel up to 15% including quarterly visits to our international offices.
Base Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity, and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a training professional or performance consultant at a global company, applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, backwards design) across blended modalities including eLearning, instructor-led training, job aids, and video.
- 3+ years in a technology-focused organization, partnering across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Singapore.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to effectively deliver learning programs for international team members. This role requires up to 15% travel, including quarterly visits to our international offices.
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Human Resources, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred) from an accredited, 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
- Written and Oral Communication: Clear writing, storytelling, and facilitation skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging content for cross-functional and cross-regional audiences.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate, video content creation tools such as Camtasia, and Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
- Stakeholder Management: Consultative approach with various internal partners across multiple disciplines including the executive team. Asks the right questions to quickly understand different parts of the business.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, execution, and measurement of results. Skilled at managing own time and the time of others.
- Professionalism: Great judgement and strong discretion when working with confidential or sensitive materials. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AI tools and new technologies for solution design, development, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Simplified Chinese for written communications.
Responsibilities
- Learning Content Creation: Partners with People Business Partners (HRBPs), Centers of Excellence, and business leaders to assess learning and development needs and co-create targeted solutions — from instructional design and content authoring to facilitation — that close capability gaps and advance Credo’s business strategy, core values, and culture.
- Group Facilitation: Facilitate learning experiences, team development, and leadership assessments in virtual and in-person settings, drawing on techniques such as active listening, purposeful questioning, feedback, and coaching to drive meaningful group learning.
- Strategic Planning: Assist the Director, People Experience in developing and implementing a learning strategy designed to further Credo’s company objectives. Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to learning strategies and practices.
- Reporting & Analytics: Assess the impact of learning solutions through feedback and data analysis, using insights to shape action plans and inform strategic conversations with business leaders.
- Continuous Improvement: Build from scratch and iterate quickly based on feedback. Independently resolve problems and issues within the scope of assignments.
- Additional Duties: Serve as the liaison with our learning vendors, submit purchase orders, partner with our People Systems team to manage learning content in LinkedIn Learning and HiBob, and perform other duties as assigned.
