ROLE OVERVIEW
LifeStance Health is seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Program Manager to lead national learning initiatives that elevate clinical and operational excellence across our organization. This role is designed for an experienced learning professional who combines strategic insight, adult learning expertise, and strong stakeholder influence to deliver transformative learning experiences.

As a key member of the L&D team, you will serve as a strategic advisor and program owner, driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning programs that support our mission to improve access to high-quality mental health care. You will work cross-functionally with business leaders, clinicians, and operational partners to align learning solutions with business priorities, regulatory standards, and workforce development needs.

Compensation: $82,000 - $118,000/annually, plus annual bonus potential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner strategically with executives and senior leaders to assess organizational learning priorities and design scalable, high-impact learning strategies.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of learning programs — from needs analysis, design, and delivery through measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with instructional designers to design, develop, and deliver engaging learning experiences that apply adult learning principles and leverage tools such as Articulate 360, Canva, and PowerPoint. When needed, create or refine content directly to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Consult with operational and clinical leaders to assess skill gaps, define learning objectives, and translate business challenges into actionable learning solutions.
  • Implement data-driven evaluation methods to measure program effectiveness and drive ongoing improvements based on learner outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with healthcare industry standards in all training initiatives and documentation.
  • Develop and manage project plans that align with company-wide learning priorities, timelines, and budgets, ensuring consistent communication and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach fellow team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth within the Learning team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Practice Operations, Clinical, Billing, Compliance, and Technology) to ensure learning programs are cohesive, sustainable, and integrated across the organization.
  • Champion learning culture initiatives that promote knowledge sharing, leadership development, and employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Management — with at least 2 years in a healthcare or other regulated industry.
  • Preferred Experience: designing or managing learning solutions that support billing, revenue cycle management, or related operational workflows within healthcare or other complex service organizations.
  • · Preferred Experience: designing learning solutions that scale effectively across multiple states, business units, and/or numerous clinical sites, ensuring consistency while allowing for local adaptation.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning programs with measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated command of learning strategy, instructional design, and consulting methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, balance competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Skilled with learning technology platforms, project management tools (e.g., Workday Learning, or other LMS, Smartsheet, etc.), and creative design software (Articulate, Canva, Adobe Suite).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen in translating organizational needs into learning solutions.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members and driving alignment across diverse teams.
