About the Role
Kizen is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Experience Designer to build and scale the programs that help our partners, customers, and employees get the most out of our platform. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on execution excellence across the full learning lifecycle.
You will work with the Tech Docs/Learning Experience Lead and own the day-to-day design, development, and delivery of learning programs, including LMS administration, certification tracks, and Kizen Academy. You'll receive strategic direction from your lead and be trusted to run with it, bringing deep craft and independent judgment to everything you build.
This role is ideal for a learning designer who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes pride in building programs from the ground up, and doesn't need hand-holding to get things done.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality learning content across multiple formats, including e-learning courses, video tutorials, job aids, assessments, and instructor-led materials
- Help create a Partner and Customer Training program, including a structured certification track and the Kizen Academy experience
- Lead new hire and customer onboarding curriculum development, ensuring learners ramp quickly and confidently
- Apply instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, or similar) to structure content that is goal-oriented and measurable
- Produce and edit training videos and screencasts to support product walkthroughs and process demonstrations
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex product and process knowledge into clear, learner-centered content
- Maintain standards for learning design quality, consistency, and accessibility across all programs
- Analyze learner performance data and feedback to continuously improve course effectiveness
Requirements
Craft & Execution. You produce learning experiences that are polished, purposeful, and built to scale. You know how to take a goal, design a solution, and deliver it. Your work reflects a high standard, every time.
Independence. You're comfortable operating with ambiguity, helping to define structure, and making sound decisions. You don't need a playbook handed to you, you help write it!
Collaboration. You work well across teams and know how to get what you need from subject matter experts who are busy. You communicate clearly, set expectations proactively, and keep stakeholders informed without being chased down.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a related field
- Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline and/or Rise) or comparable e-learning authoring tools
- Hands-on experience administering an LMS, including course publishing, user management, and reporting
- Strong video production and screencasting skills, including recording, editing, and post-production
- Solid grounding in instructional design methodology, including ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks
- Experience building certification programs, learning academies, or structured onboarding curricula
- Excellent written communication and the ability to explain technical or complex topics clearly and accessibly
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to take a goal, build a plan, and see it through from concept to completion
- Portfolio required, applications without work samples will not be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing partner or customer-facing training programs at scale
- ATD similar Instructional Design certifications
- Familiarity with CRM, automation, or SaaS platforms
- Background in working with documentation or technical writing teams
- Exposure to AI-driven products or assistive technologies
