The Sr Manager, IT Product Management will oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of IT products across the enterprise. This role is accountable for the delivery and support of payment operations across Blackbaud and serves as a liaison between finance (AP/AR, treasury and tax), payment services and IT to ensure secure, compliant and efficient payment operations.
The Senior Manager, IT Product Management is responsible for managing a team to partner with the business to define requirements that support the delivery of business goals. This role is accountable for creating detailed design plans and IT product roadmaps and driving the delivery of projects that ensure Blackbaud payments platforms and systems will deliver on strategic goals.
Essential Functions
- Manage and mentor a team of IT product managers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Compliance, Internal Audit, Technical Leads, Business Subject Matter Experts, Product Management and Quality Control to understand strategic direction and deliver operational performance needs of the organization
- Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch ensuring timely delivery with high levels of quality.
- Administer and drive automation through process improvements across the payment systems
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and fintech platforms for integration into existing payment and treasure operations
- Manage and mitigate operational risks by proactively identifying vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
- Serve as Product Manager for an Agile release train of approximately 80 team members spanning all engineering functions.
- Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on operational performance, risk factors, and strategic opportunities.
- Apply knowledge, best practices, and technical expertise in business analysis concepts, principles, and techniques to gather, document and manage business requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gain alignment on requirements to create high-quality document system requirements and system/process mapping.
Experience
- 12+ years’ experience in IT product management with at least 7 years in people leadership role required.
- 7+ years’ experience with fintech platforms, core banking systems, and API-based payment infrastructures required.
- Experience in enterprise-level IT product management.
- Familiarity with Agile and scrum methodologies.
- Certification as a product owner in SAFe is a plus.
- The ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications
- Strong understanding of AP/AR processes, ERP systems, donation and tuition processing, bank formats and payment lifecycles
- Proven track record of managing operational programs, cross-functional projects, and third-party partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with project operational KPIs, reconciliation processes, and risk management.
- Ability to navigate complex operational challenges and develop data-driven solutions.

The starting base pay is $117,200.00 to $157,500.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
