About the Role:The Senior Manager, Learning & Development is an experienced individual contributor who plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-impact learning experiences across the organization. The Senior Manager, Learning & Development leads the end-to-end development and facilitation of structured learning programs, including cohort-based initiatives that build critical capabilities and foster a culture of continuous growth. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders, HR Business Partners, and the broader L&D team, leveraging data, insights, and feedback to address leadership and power skill development needs to ensure learning solutions are aligned with organizational goals, grounded in adult learning principles, and delivered with excellence across multiple modalities and global audiences. Collaboration and creativity are critical in this role to support a culture of learning and develop user-centric learning experiences that enable our employees and leaders to grow and thrive in their careers at Insmed.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will apply adult learning theory and design thinking to design, develop, pilot, and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences utilizing the 70:20:10 model through multiple modalities, methods, and tools while considering accessibility, cultural nuances and regional needs.
You will also have responsibility for:
Learning Experience Design
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders and HR Business Partners to assess learning needs and opportunities to address capability gaps across the organization
- Curate, develop, and customize content from a variety of internal and external sources
- Utilize creativity and design skills to create compelling course assets and communications for cross-functional, multi-level global audiences
- Champion innovative learning approaches such as social learning, microlearning, and emerging technologies and AI
Cohort-Based Learning Program Management
- Lead the design, development, and management/administration of cohort-based learning programs, including program architecture, participant journey mapping, and ongoing cohort facilitationManage the full lifecycle of cohort programs, including participant enrollment, communications, scheduling, facilitator coordination, and post-program evaluation
Learning Experience Facilitation
- Serve as a lead facilitator for high-engagement workshops and learning experiences for diverse audiences, both in-person and virtually
Project & Vendor Management
- Effectively project manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously Coordinate with external vendors and thought leaders to develop and supplement learning solutions in line with Insmed culture and organizational needs
Learning Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze learning data and stakeholder feedback to measure program effectiveness, ROI, and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Monitor learning solutions to ensure they are closing capability gaps and aligned with organization culture, goals and strategy
- Support the development of toolkits and resources for HR Business Partners to enable scalable delivery of learning content
- Stay current with L&D industry trends, AI, tools, and technologies particularly in the areas of facilitation and cohort-based learning to continuously enhance Insmed's learning offerings
Who You Are:
You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Education, or other related field. 6+ years of related Learning & Development experience required, with a focus on facilitation and instructional design; prior experience in Pharma and/or Biotech a plus.
Additionally you are or you have:
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing training programs and related learning assets in multiple synchronous and asynchronous modalities, including instructor-led learning, eLearning, and social learning
- Experience designing and managing cohort-based programs, including participant journey design, milestone planning, and multi-session facilitation
- Experience designing learning solutions for a cross-functional, multi-level Global audience
- Highly proficient in Articulate 360, Synthesia, Intrepid, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365 suite, and other learning/content development tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of adult learning, instruction design methodology and tools, design thinking and current L&D trends
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Experience with Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Systems; prior experience with Workday Learning or Sana Learn a plus
Travel Requirements
This role requires domestic travel of approximately < 5% based on business needs.
Where You’ll Work
This is a hybrid role based out of our Bridgewater, NJ office. You’ll have the option to work remotely most of the time, with in-person collaboration when it matters most.
Pay Range:
$124,000.00-161,000.00 Annual
