The Senior Manager, Movement Content and Curriculum, designs the content, curriculum, and training that bring the AZA & BBG leadership experience to life, turning BBYO’s vision into practical, teen ready tools used across chapters, regions, and communities. The right teammate is a strong writer, experienced curriculum builder, and dynamic facilitator who believes in the power of teens to lead.  This role reports to the Senior Director, Teen Leadership, and is part of the Movement Experiences team. 

SHAPING THE FUTURE FOR TEENS AND YOURSELF
As a Senior Manager, Movement Content and Curriculum a typical day will include:
Champion Teen Leadership 
  • Equip the International Board and counterpart networks with training, tools, and content that strengthen peer coaching and leadership growth
  • Facilitate ongoing virtual and in-person training for chapter and regional leaders
  • Maintain and strengthen the infrastructure behind annual teen‑led initiatives and campaigns
Deepen Member Engagement 
  • Support the building and maintenance of a shared standard of excellence for chapter programming, and elevate the quality, depth, and frequency of training for teen leaders, staff, and advisors
  • Design programming and incentives that retain upperclassmen throughout all five years of membership
  • Refresh the MIT (Member-in-Training) and AIT (Aleph-in-Training) experience so new members enter BBYO’s ritual and tradition in accessible, meaningful ways
Support the Updating and Evolution of Curriculum Behind Our Leadership Immersives
  • Build customizable content for chapter and regional board training, LTIs, and board transitions, and help train and deliver it
  • Develop resources that leverage alumni to deepen LTIs, Execs, and Founders’ Fest
  • Design leadership training platforms and modules tailored to season, geography, and involvement
  • Continuously evolve the Chapter Leadership Training Conference (CLTC) curriculum and serve as CLTC Curriculum Director for 2 sessions 
Steward the Content of Movement Tools and Platforms
  • Oversee ongoing updates to the BBYO Toolbox and Program Bank to ensure content remains relevant and aligned with current teen practice and organizational protocols
  • Manage the Legislation Library, publish Executive Body legislation, maintain governance documents, and support updates to regional and chapter constitutions
  • Every two years, lead the review of BBYO’s Membership Manuals (Red, Blue, and Green Books)
 
Build Mentorship and Connection through ILN Clubs
  • Shape the content and culture of ILN Clubs as spaces for mentorship, connection, and belonging
  • Sustain relationships between club participants, mentors, and alumni, and build programming that supports teens between conventions and immersives
  • Equip club leaders with content, training, and facilitation tools to deliver consistent, meaningful experiences
Power Teen Led Governance, Democracy, and Ritual
  • Build and update teen ready content and training that drives Movement-wide adoption of leadership traditions
  • Serve as content lead and deputy for August Executives and February Executives Conferences 
  • Partner on AZA & BBG Ritual programming at International Convention, including separates, teen‑led Limmudim, LEADS teen involvement, and AZA & BBG Boot Camps

Essential Skills for Making A Lasting Impact
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience working with teens in a formal or informal/experiential learning environment, with a track record of designing and delivering curriculum or training
  • Alumni of BBYO is preferred
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and strong public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Experience building experiential or Jewish educational content and translating vision into usable, teen-facing tools
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once on a fixed calendar
  • Comfortable with technology and creative tools (Canva, AI) and with project and platform tools like Airtable and the Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to foster relationships with diverse constituents and collaborate across departments
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% - this includes: International Convention, August Execs, Summer Program (CLTC- 2 sessions), and 2-3 team retreats and/or staff gatherings annually and Inernationally as needed 
  • Hybrid office and home schedule; Washington, D.C., location preferred but not required
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship
