The Senior Manager of One-on-One Advising is a key driver of Kaplan Advising’s growth, responsible for converting prospective families into enrolled programs, ensuring they are matched with the right admissions consulting services, and proactively sourcing qualified leads. This role combines consultative sales with targeted outreach to maximize revenue, expand the pipeline of engaged families, and strengthen Kaplan’s position as a leader in educational advising.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct family consultations to understand educational goals, evaluate student profiles, and recommend tailored admissions consulting programs in order to drive enrollment and revenue growth.
- Convert prospective families into enrolled programs by delivering compelling program presentations, addressing questions, and guiding decision-making to meet and exceed enrollment targets.
- Source and qualify new leads through proactive outreach, referrals, and partnerships to expand the pipeline of prospective families and strengthen long-term business growth.
- Manage the consultation pipeline by scheduling, tracking, and following up with families to ensure consistent conversion rates and optimized sales performance.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems to track family interactions, progress, and outcomes, ensuring visibility into performance metrics and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and market trends, ensuring continuous improvement in family acquisition strategies.
- Deliver limited direct admissions consulting to a small portfolio of families, providing strategic guidance on applications and timelines to demonstrate advising expertise and maintain service excellence.
- Monitor performance metrics such as conversion rates, consultation volumes, and revenue contribution to evaluate progress against goals and implement adjustments as needed.
- Provide insights and reporting to leadership on sales performance, lead generation, and family engagement trends to inform business strategy and operational priorities.
- Uphold Kaplan’s standards of professionalism and integrity by maintaining a student- and family-focused approach that ensures trust, satisfaction, and long-term brand credibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Business, Education, Marketing and/or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a senior sales, advising, or enrollment management role within the education or related professional services sector.
- Proven ability to design and execute consultative sales strategies that drive measurable revenue growth
- Experience sourcing and qualifying leads within a high-touch service environment
- Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of data analysis, CRM platforms, and performance metrics
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decision-making among families
- Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to balance individual contribution and organizational impact
- Understanding of K12 and College Admissions Markets a plus.

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades. This position is Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $100,000. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
