The Senior Manager, Project Management provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Project Management team within the Systems Integration department. This role is responsible for driving successful execution of complex integration projects from purchase order through final completion, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and client satisfaction. The Senior Manager fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while mentoring project managers and introducing best practices aligned with organizational standards. Additionally, this position serves as the primary leadership presence for the Phoenix office, supporting local operations and team development. Through proactive communication, problem-solving, and performance management, the Senior Manager ensures projects are delivered efficiently and the team remains engaged, empowered, and aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Ensure project managers feel supported, and that their concerns are listened to and addressed when they arise
- Provide coaching to project managers in a supportive way
- Clear roadblocks to ensure project managers can work effectively
- Nurture a team culture of proactive communication, efficiency, and problem-solving
- Inspire team members to constantly improve processes, client relationships, and work delivery
- Motivate team members to participate in a collaborative environment
- Strengthen the project management team with education and training and hold project managers accountable to process standards
- Introducing new project management strategies in accordance with generally accepted PMI principles
- In conjunction with the Director of Project Delivery, establish and monitor performance; develop and assign goals, as well as establish priorities
- Conduct 1:1 meetings and quarterly/annual reviews with direct reports
- Manage PTO requests, approve timesheets, etc.
- Manage projects where necessary to assist the team
- Mentor new MPMs and members of the Integration team
Local Leadership & Coordination – Phoenix Office
- Act as the primary point of contact for site-related matters, coordinating across teams and facilitating communication between the location and broader organization.
- Cultural Stewardship – Foster and maintain Bluum's culture and values at the site level, creating an environment where employees feel connected to the company's mission and each other.
- Voice of Bluum – Represent Bluum's leadership perspective locally, communicating company initiatives, priorities, and updates while also channeling site-specific feedback and concerns back to leadership.
- Community Building – Organize and support activities that strengthen relationships among colleagues and reinforce a sense of belonging at the Phoenix location.
- Location Liaison – Partner with facilities, HR, and other functions to address site-specific needs and ensure the location runs smoothly.
- This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to influence without direct authority while balancing responsibilities within your primary job function.
Project Management
- Communicate efficiently and effectively between internal and external customers.
- Attend Project Management and onsite project related meetings as necessary.
- Perform site visits on projects, as outlined in the PM manual, to verify Scope of services, equipment list accuracy, and site conditions/readiness to ensure proper installation and systems functionality.
- Solve problems in a calm and orderly fashion as they arise to ensure quality and satisfaction. Follow up with the project team and/or customer to make sure that the problem was solved appropriately.
- Aid Sales Engineers, Account Executives, Systems Integration Sales Support staff, other Project Managers, and Installers as required by each project.
- Provide Systems Installers all necessary information to complete equipment installation, including a handover meeting prior to the start of each installation.
- Review completed projects, making sure that the project is completed accurately and to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Responsible for project signoff on all projects.
- Answer or facilitate the answer to technical questions and concerns on current and completed System Integration installations.
- Provide Sales Support Staff and Management with up to date project billing information and project status updates.
- Coordinate control system interfacing with control system programmer.
- Verify and coordinate the updating of as-built drawings at project completion.
- Provide basic system training to customers as needed.
- Update Project Completion Tracker and other internal measurable documents.
- Recognizing and channeling potential future sales opportunities.

Education & Skill Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of AV and/or full-lifecycle project management experience
- Previous experience managing high functioning teams
- Comfortable communicating with clients and third parties
- Exemplary time management skills
- Collaborate with coworkers and interface with clients
- Knowledge of Audio/Visual and Technology installation, products, systems and trends
- Ability to read and mark-up blueprints of installation projects. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form. Ability to write clear and timely emails.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Skill in handling difficult or escalating situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Internet knowledge and the ability to use the appropriate tools to research are essential.
- PMP certification highly preferred
- CTS certification highly preferred

Travel
Travel is occasionally required of this position. This travel may include (but not limited to) organizational project management meetings, on-site customer meetings and planning sessions, jobsite walkthroughs, and other on-site responsibilities based on the needs of the project and the organization. The amount of travel will vary significantly based on the location and current project portfolio.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee may occasionally be at risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific job duties that are affected by the environmental conditions are reading, writing, phone conversations and equipment repair.
