What Weâre Looking For:
2U is searching for a Senior Product Manager to own the commerce capabilities roadmap for the edX Marketplace â a role at the direct intersection of product strategy, revenue growth, and platform modernization.
Commerce is the transactional backbone of the edX user experience. Every enrollment, every purchase, every subscription activation flows through the capabilities this Sr. PM owns. As edX evolves its business model â expanding from a la carte course purchases into a subscription-based learning platform â the commerce foundation needs to evolve with it. This role owns that evolution.
You will inherit a rich, sequenced commerce roadmap and take it from vision to reality across three meaningful phases of work: supporting the launch and maturation of edX's new consumer subscription offering from a commerce capabilities standpoint; leading the product requirements and roadmap to consolidate onto a unified commerce backend that supports both subscription and a la carte purchasing models; and then expanding the commerce capability set to unlock new revenue opportunities â including globalization, alternative payment access, promotional capabilities, in-cart personalization, and more.
You will work closely with business, engineering, UX, data, finance, and legal teams to define requirements, sequence delivery, and ensure the commerce experience is seamless, scalable, and optimized for conversion. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with a direct line to revenue outcomes.

While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA two days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($143,100 - $163,100), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidateâs qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
