McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Senior Program Manager, AI for our Higher Education division. The McGraw Hill Higher Education Program Management Office (PMO) leads the strategic planning, execution, and governance of our division’s most important strategic initiatives. The Senior Program Manager for AI leads cross-functional teams to drive the execution of high-paced AI initiatives, from ideation to execution.  As a trusted partner throughout the higher education organization, the Senior Program Manager orchestrates with agility, influences others towards strategic and operational excellence, and ensures successful execution of program objectives to achieve our higher education strategy.  The Senior Program Manager for AI brings deep experience in managing AI programs and portfolios and thrives in translating strategy into execution, while partnering with stakeholders drive clarity, outcomes, and impact.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:   
  • Program Management: Lead cross-functional program teams overseeing end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment.  Proactively influence action and ensure that strategic initiatives are mapped with organizational goals and resource availability
  • Risk Management: Identify, document, and work to resolve program risks, issues and dependencies, escalating to senior leaders as appropriate
  • Team Engagement: Motivate and hold teams accountable to achieving program objectives and strategic business goals
  • PMO Ambassador: Champion the ongoing development of the PMO function, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and consistently implementing enhancements. 
 
We’re looking for someone with: 
  • 5-7 years’ experience managing multiple complex cross-functional programs
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques   - PMP Certification
  • Demonstrated fluency in AI concepts and trends, including GenAI and LLMs, and how they apply in practical business cases
  • Hands on program management experience with AI programs and portfolios
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to diagnose issues and lead teams toward resolution
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and address issues proactively
  • Adept at business and project management tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Displays and acts with intellectual curiosity, initiative, integrity, maturity, and professionalism
  • Previous experience working in higher education, or the broader education ecosystem
  • Travel is expected up to 10% - 25% of the year

The pay range for this position is between $82,000 - $140,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
