Job Summary:
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting core accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and internal financial reporting. This role partners closely with the finance team, leveraging AI to find efficiencies external auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
This position plays a key role in maintaining GAAP compliance, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements that enhance the efficiency and scalability of the accounting function.
Candidates must be based in the Dallas metroplex and able to work a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office, 3 days remote).
This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist in month-end close, including accruals, analysis, account reconciliations, allocations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions
· Analyze, book and forecast revenue. Includes verifying revenue recognition
· Participate in planning/forecasting cycles for all assigned accounts, including management reporting
· Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations as assigned
· Assist with sales and income tax returns and processing payments
· Supports internal and external information requests including; banking, tax, and audit
· Assist in the administration of accounting ran platforms (RAMP, NAVAN, Certify, ADP, Adaptive, Pento)
· Monitor and review general ledger account activity for adherence to company policies and accounting controls
· Assist in treasury/banking activities, which may include bank account reconciliations, debt compliance reporting, and resolution of reconciliation issues
· Assist in year-end 1099 preparation, as needed
· Lead or participate in process improvements, department projects, or system enhancements, leveraging AI
· Maintains orderly, accurate and complete documentation in support of assigned work responsibilities and retention requirements for appropriate tax, government and other regulatory offices
· Assist in processing royalties, including creating and sending/mailing statements, processing payments, providing variance analysis, resolving discrepancies and researching issues
· Assist in developing, documenting and updating policies and procedures
· Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
· 3+ years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting
· Strong knowledge of GAAP, including financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
· Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and internal reporting
· Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite)
· Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint)
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Must take initiative, be self-motivated, be dependable with a positive, energetic approach
· High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness
· Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
· CPA or CMA
· Experience with NetSuite ARM
· Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
· Experience in a subscription-based, multi-entity, or SaaS environment
· Exposure to treasury, royalties, or multi-stream revenue operations
