Description | Reporting to the Dean, Rabinowitz Honors College, the Senior Support Specialist performs a full range of secretarial functions within the Hofstra University Honors College (HUHC) Dean’s Office including direct support to the Deans and Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Data tracking and database development/maintenance. Assists visitors to the office, providing information related to the school and programs as needed. Plans and schedules events. Coordinates all logistics for events and arrangements (on campus and off) including travel arrangements and assisting with the preparation of expense reports. Tracks spending relative to HUHC’s budget allocations. Works with and supervise Student Aides. Responds to general inquiries. Completes filing as needed and maintain files. Prepares internal and external correspondence. Assists with special projects related to regular events such as student recruitment, orientation, and graduation. May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skills included within the above job title.

Qualifications
• Prior office experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks expediently and accurately.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and capable of handling sensitive information with good judgment and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Apple computers.

Salary/Salary Range | $50,339.00

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
