Position Summary: The Institutional Solutions Group at NYU IT is building the next generation of internal applications to power our global workforce. We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with deep technical expertise to help evolve and scale our Workday HCM and Payroll ecosystems within a dynamic higher education environment. In this hands-on development role, you will design, build, and deploy custom Workday Extend applications and complex integrations tailored to our institutional needs. Acting as a bridge between technical and functional teams, you will independently gather business requirements and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the highest technical standards.

Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Technology related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Technology related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)

Required Experience:
3+ years Workday Extend Development and 5+ years Workday Integrations Development

Preferred Experience:
3+ years Higher Education institution or a complex, global enterprise environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong experience with Workday Extend, Workday Studio, EIB, CoreConnect, and Reporting. Solid experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT). Strong understanding of HR systems and business processes. Ability to work independently within defined scope and escalate appropriately when needed. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of Agile software development principles. Understanding of business principles as related to the various functional areas in Higher Education environments. Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, and MySQL. Thorough understanding of current tools and technologies to support Application Development, Application Administration and Application Support including ticketing/tracking software such as Jira and ServiceNow.

Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
