Location: REMOTE (Flexible for any time zone but must meet EST hours)
Schedule: M-F, 40 HR
Duration/Start Date: 7/1/2025
Salary: $58.39 /hour

Candidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.

Summary:
Microsoft Philanthropies Skills for Social Impact Team. The team is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Skilling Advisor to lead and support skilling initiatives across Microsoft technologies, with a focus on Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure (Foundry, Purview, Fabric, etc.), and Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, low-code/no-code). 

This role is ideal for someone passionate about empowering others through digital skilling and driving adoption of modern workplace tools. The allocation of time will vary each week, but on average, you can expect to spend approximately 60% of your time delivering workshops, 25% consulting with customers, 10% developing content, and 5% on administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver skilling strategies, workshops and learning pathways tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Develop and curate training content, workshops, and resources on:
    Microsoft Copilot and M365 Copilot
  • Azure services including Foundry, Purview, Fabric, and AI/data capabilities
  • Power Platform tools including PowerApps, Power Automate, and low-code/no-code solutions
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., NGOs, nonprofits, or global organizations) to assess learning needs and deliver impactful skilling programs.
  • Track learner engagement, feedback, and outcomes to continuously improve offerings.
  • Stay current with Microsoft product updates and integrate new capabilities into learning plans.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and evangelist for digital transformation through skilling.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in digital skilling, learning & development, or technical enablement.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure (especially Foundry, Purview, Fabric), and Power Platform.
  • Experience designing and delivering training for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure, Power Platform, and/or M365.
  • Experience working with nonprofit or public sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
  • Minimum 2 + years of experience with Azure (especially Foundry, Purview, Fabric)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Power Platform
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience with digital skilling, learning & development, or technical enablement

  • Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1-2 rounds.
  • Required Candidate Preparation: An initial 30-45minute interview to evaluate their expertise and experience

  • This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel (less than 5% of the time) required for on-site customer meetings.
