Airbnb.org is a nonprofit that connects people to free, temporary housing in times of crisis. We partner with hosts, nonprofits, and communities around the world to support people displaced by disasters, conflict, and emergencies.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced a Senior Training Manager on a part-time contract basis to bring structure and scale to how Airbnb.org partners get trained and onboarded. This role is centered on designing and standing up a Learning Management System (LMS) for Airbnb.org partners. You'll bring strong information design expertise and hands-on LMS experience to build something durable, with the opportunity to expand your impact into adjacent training and information management needs across the org as the role matures.
Key Responsibilities:
LMS Design & Setup
Lead the end-to-end setup of an LMS for Airbnb.org partners, from platform configuration through content structure and rollout.
Design and write clear, well-organized training content and learning pathways for partner onboarding topics (e.g., Emergency Response setup, program expectations, payment processes).
Apply information design best practices to make partner-facing materials easy to navigate and self-serve.
Capture and incorporate screen recordings, video, and other multimedia formats to support training on software systems and processes.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Maintenance
Partner with the cross-functional teams to identify which manual onboarding/training touchpoints can be shifted into the LMS.
Establish a maintainable content structure and update process so the LMS stays current as our platform and tools evolve.
Flex into adjacent information management tooling projects as needed (e.g., knowledge bases, documentation systems, resource libraries).
Scope Growth Potential
Depending on bandwidth and fit, this role may expand to help clean up and reorganize internal team training materials, applying the same information design rigor.
Potential to extend into external host training content and structure.
Potential to support information architecture and content organization for the external Partner Hub.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience setting up and configuring an LMS platform (e.g., Intellum, Absorb, or similar).
Strong background in information design, instructional design, or content architecture.
Experience designing training for software systems and processes.
Ability to capture and incorporate screen recordings, video, and other multimedia into training content.
Ability to translate manual, ad hoc training processes into structured, scalable self-serve content.
Comfortable working independently and part-time, with strong self-management and communication skills.
Experience with broader information management or knowledge-base tooling is a strong plus.
Nonprofit, partner enablement, or program operations experience helpful but not required.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 70-85/hr
