Senior Training Specialist - HR, Sales & Technical Services

Job Description
The Sr. Training Specialist, Sales & Technical Services is responsible for designing, managing, and continuously improving training programs, including collaborating with subject matter experts, developing content, and analyzing training effectiveness. The role also is responsible for coordinating instructor-led training events, communications, and projects to enhance overall training delivery and impact.

  • This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113

Responsibilities
  • Learning Management System Content Support
    • Map out and deploy training curriculum within the Learning Management System (MindTickle/Learn).
    • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and key business stakeholders to audit LMS content, participate in formalized quality analysis and feedback collection, and ensure that content aligns with learning objectives. 
    • Lead new content development process, discussing initial requests and supporting Instructional Designer with content creation where appropriate.
    • Lead development and deploy training using AI tools.
    • Continuously review and curate training library of resource guides/modules for LMS users and administrators.
    • Advise on enrollment rules and automation, learner profiles and hierarchy, data integrations, automated and single-instance communications, data analysis and reporting of training performance and engagement metrics.

  • Global Sales & Technical Services Support (outside USCA)
    • Regularly connect with L&OD and Sales Excellence teams in regions to advise on learning management system and content.
    • Provide training support for MindTickle/Learn to regional L&D/Sales Excellence teams.
    • Support coaching needs in LMS and partner with regions to build training through AI tools.
    • Share best practices and utilize ideas from other regions to implement in USCA.
    • Support connection between Mindtickle and regional teams. 

  • Instructor Led Training Coordination
    • Coordinate Learning & Organizational Development training events for Sales and Tech Service employees including securing facilitators (internal and in partnership with vendors), scheduling venues, booking lodging and/or group activities/outings, managing food & beverage, providing A/V equipment support, and other ad-hoc duties associated with onsite training. 
    • Manage and document expenses associated with training events and utilize internal accounting processes and systems to ensure invoices are paid on time and costs are properly allocated. 
    • Provide support for internal payment processes, including setting up chargeback expenses, establishing new vendor accounts, and managing invoices.
    • Coordinate participant enrollment and attendance across all PCG Divisions (including pre- and post- event communications, troubleshooting and assistance as needed for any issues affecting event participants).
    • Prepare event materials and coordinate shipping/distribution as needed (including learning guides/manuals, participant workbooks, handouts, flip charts, etc.). 
    • Ensure that training events are executed with professionalism and an eye to detail.
      • Provide opening and closing remarks, introduction of facilitators and guest speakers, communication of logistical information, etc. 
      • Act as main point of logistics contact for vendor-led events. 
      • Interact with vendors and facilitators as needed.
    • Review and implement summative evaluation information to continuously improve Instructor Led Training events.
    • Manage pre- and post-event surveys and associated communications.

  • Sales & Tech Services Projects & Other Support
    • Partner with L&D manager on overall Learning Strategy for Sales/Tech Services. 
    • Manage sales & tech service-specific communications & manage system generated notifications targeted to learners and immediate supervisors.
    • Provide general L&D support to Sales & Tech Services, including ad hoc projects.
    • Assist with content-specific questions received in PCG Learn mailbox. 
    • Support annual National Sales Meeting planning/duties as needed.
    • Support vendor management through strategic calls and implementation.
    • Serve as liaison between Mindtickle and sales & tech teams.
    • Other L&OD tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future 
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% as required by the position
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Must have at least two (2) years' experience in Learning & Development, Training, or HR 
  • Must have at least one (1) years' experience using systems and/or reporting
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Communications, or Human Resources
  • Have previous experience with sales enablement tools
  • Have previous experience with Learning Management Systems (MindTickle or similar platform)
  • Have previous event planning experience
  • Have project management experience
  • Have experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition, Illustrator)
  • Have experience in using rapid development authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia)
