Position Overview:

The Deputy Provost at SNHU is a senior leadership role that works closely with a talented team to lead all academic learning experiences, delivering 200+ degree programs to more than 250,000 learners on campus, online and all over the world."
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to SNHU's University Provost, the Deputy Provost provides strategic leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and assessing learning experiences and student outcomes for SNHU's online, campus, international, and competency-based academic programs, ensuring cohesion across all learning experiences at the university. They will lead and supervise the academic management and faculty responsible for teaching and delivering all SNHU programs.
Academic departments include:
· Academic Programs (online academic teams, clinical faculty, adjuncts)
· Academic Affairs (campus academic teams and faculty)
· Direct Assessment programs (competency-based academic teams, reviewers)
· Global Initiatives (international programs, partnerships, Global Education Movement)
Additionally, the Deputy Provost will:
· Provide direction on key performance indicators in areas such as student success, retention/persistence, graduation, completion, academic rigor, integrity, and quality.
· Ensures adherence to accreditation standards, consistent application of academic policies and procedures, and academic governance.
· Partner with Advising, Admissions, Marketing, Academic Operations, Registrar, and other university leaders to improve key business metrics and student outcomes.
· Lead and champion objectives and strategies within the University Strategic Plan.
· Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across academic departments and programs.
· Oversee and manage the academic budgets with focus and discipline through a unified planning and prioritization approach.
· Build and lead a cohesive and unified team of talented, motivated, and focused individuals who can drive growth and innovate within the learning experiences.
· Stay abreast of developments in higher education, educational technology, and relevant fields and integrate best practices into the academic learning environments.
· Serve as a member of the Provost's leadership team and represents the Provost at various regional and national meetings.
Qualifications:
· Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university.
· A minimum of 10 years of of senior academic administration
· Demonstrated leadership experience including leading large, complex teams that reach across diverse functional areas within a college or university.
· Experience leading complex, multi-modal systems or organizations
· Demonstrated expertise in financial and profit and loss management with multi-million-dollar budgets.
· Knowledge of academic processes including curriculum development, policy, compliance, and accreditation at the regional, national, and professional levels.
· Experience with innovative curriculum design, diverse learning styles, and competency-based education
· Success in leading and empowering individuals and teams to solve complex problems using an innovative, collaborative, and people-first approach.
· High-level of emotional intelligence, a learner's mindset, and strong collaborative skills
· Demonstrated track record in bringing discipline, focus, and clarity to teams, inspiring and holding teams accountable to the "right work."
· A commitment to student-centered learning models of delivering high-quality education and executing our mission of "Transforming live at scale."
· Demonstrable success in creating equitable experiences for diverse student populations.
· Demonstrated success in inclusive leadership practices.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and make informed decisions

We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $300,000 - $330,000.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $200,000.00 - $400,000.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
