The successful candidate will bring expertise, agility and a detail-oriented work style to the role and will have demonstrated a proven track record, preferably within the IT industry. This candidate will have experience in SEO, web analytics, and website optimization to help us excel in a crowded digital landscape.

Ellucian is seeking a SEO & Web Specialist, responsible for managing and optimizing our web content to enhance search engine visibility, user experience, and overall performance. This role will play a pivotal role in defining and enhancing out digital presence.

This candidate will have experience in SEO, web analytics, and website optimization to help us excel in a crowded digital landscape.
Where you will make an impact
- In-House SEO Expertise: Act as an in-house SEO specialist, offering valuable insights and guidance to the content and web teams. Stay on top of algorithm changes and industry trends to adapt SEO strategies proactively.
- Keyword Research Mastery: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to uncover opportunities for optimizing website content and increasing organic traffic.
- SEO Optimization: Oversee all marketing SEO optimization requests and implement on-page SEO best practices. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the website's technical structure is search engine optimized.
- Content Management: Manage requests for website content uploads. Develop and maintain a content repository while implementing a systematic content audit process.
- Strategic Link Building: Execute strategic link-building initiatives to bolster the website's authority and credibility within the industry.
Performance Analytics Mastery: Leverage SEO tools and analytics to closely monitor website performance, track keyword rankings, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
What you will bring
- 2-3 years of hands-on web development and SEO experience.
- Proven expertise in optimizing websites for search engines and improving user experiences.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Drupal.
- Proficient in SEO tools, analytics platforms, web accessibility standards (WCAG), and A/B testing for conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay current with SEO and web trends.
- Experience in website performance optimization and load time improvement.
