Job Description

Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Location: Stevens Point, WI - Corporate Office

Starting Salary: $42,824.35 - $47,106.79 (wage to commensurate with experience)

Expected Start Date: January 12, 2026

Are you a creative communicator with a passion for digital storytelling? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and love connecting with audiences online? Skyward is looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing team!

What you’ll do:

As our Social Media Specialist, you’ll be the voice behind Skyward’s social presence. You’ll:

  • Manage and grow our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Create and publish engaging content-text, images, video, and more
  • Develop and execute paid campaigns across platforms
  • Monitor trends, analyze performance, and report on KPIs
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build community
  • Travel occasionally to capture and share live event content

What you’ll need:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • Background knowledge of social media in a professional or corporate environment, 2-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Graphic design skills are a plus!
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the K–12 education landscape is a bonus
  • A creative, organized, and collaborative mindset
