Technolutions was founded in 1994 with our flagship product, Slate, released in 2000. Slate is the industry-leading CRM for over 1,900 colleges, universities, and secondary schools to handle their enrollment management, student success, and advancement processes. Built in-house, from the ground up, the Slate platform interacts with millions of users globally. Our mission is to support transformative effects on the world of higher education.

Position Summary
Led by the Director of Engineering, developers are tasked with building and maintaining the entire Slate codebase. We are full-stack web developers with a mix of both front-end design and backend infrastructure experience. Primarily working in C#, our engineering teams plan and develop large scale features, bug fixes, and more to support our higher education clients. The software developer delivers code and assists the team in managing projects. Some travel may be required; annual attendance at Slate Summit highly encouraged.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in development project teams including feature design, code, and code review
  • Translate use cases from end users into technical requirements
  • Reproduce and resolve bug reports

Required Qualifications
  • 0 – 5 years of software development experience
  • Knowledge of C#, T-SQL, HTML, XSLT, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and, ideally, experience working with sensitive data
  • Comfort communicating philosophical and technical details with non-technical staff
  • Comfort working collaboratively in a team environment using an agile process
  • Willingness to learn and understand the concerns and business needs of our users and the world of higher education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required; experience may be substituted
  • On-site work in New Haven, CT. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in B2B and enterprise environments
  • Experience in established code bases
