About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable, cloudânative applications in a modern enterprise environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who brings strong backend expertise while maintaining a solid working knowledge of frontâend technologies.
What You'll Own
As a Software Engineer, you will primarily work on backend systems using Java and Python, building reliable services and APIs that support highâvolume, dataâdriven applications. You will design and optimize data layers using relational and NoSQL databases and deploy applications on AWS, following best practices for security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. You will also collaborate with AI and data teams to integrate AIâenabled capabilities into platform services and user workflows.
On the front end, you will work with technologies such as React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, collaborating closely with frontâend engineers to deliver clean, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces. You will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support, in an agile, crossâfunctional team environment.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The full-time salary range for this role is between $100,000 - $115,000
