Montana State University is hiring a Software Engineer to join their Enterprise Services Group (ESG). The Software Engineer analyzes business needs, designs and develops computer programs and user interfaces, and provides technical support including testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for major enterprise systems across the four-campus MSU system.

Manage software development and maintenance across multiple languages, operating systems, and applications.
Develop, modify, test, and validate enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications and other major administrative systems.
Conduct impact analysis and evaluate patches and upgrades for enterprise information systems.
Gather and organize business requirements, design system specifications, and oversee programming and documentation.
Provide technical consultation and support to internal and external customers.
Experience required in programming with C++, Java or other object-oriented languages and enterprise databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Proficient with Linux or Unix-based operating systems.
Preferred experience includes source control management tools (GIT, Subversion), Oracle PL/SQL, and frameworks like GRAILS or Angular.
Salary range of $34.88 to $37.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requires two years of recent full-time computer application programming experience or equivalent education and experience.
