Description

Software Engineer

Platform Engineering builds the shared services, APIs, frameworks, developer tooling, and cloud native capabilities that power Frontline's multi tenant SaaS platform.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, test, deploy, and support secure, scalable platform services that enable engineering teams to deliver high quality products. Working alongside Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, Technical Leads, and fellow engineers, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle while continuing to grow your technical expertise and understanding of Frontline's platform architecture.

This role reports to a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager.

How You'll Drive Success

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud native applications, APIs, shared services, and reusable engineering components.
  • Build secure, reliable, and maintainable software aligned with Frontline engineering standards.
  • Participate in technical discovery, design discussions, backlog refinement, and sprint delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, and engineering peers to deliver customer focused solutions.
  • Develop automated tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues while improving reliability, observability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Leverage AI assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and OpenAI Codex responsibly to accelerate development while maintaining quality and security standards.
  • Continuously strengthen your technical skills while contributing to a collaborative, high performing engineering culture.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing software using modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Python, or similar.
  • Experience building APIs, web applications, or cloud native services.
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals including object oriented design, algorithms, testing, debugging, and secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile software development practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code.
  • REST APIs, microservices, or event driven architectures.
  • React or modern frontend frameworks.
  • SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Identity and authentication technologies.
  • AI assisted software development workflows.
