SUMMARY:
The Software Engineer, Communities will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, high-performance web applications focused on engaging and intuitive user experiences. This role requires strong front-end development expertise in TypeScript and Vue. While the primary focus is on front-end work, familiarity with back-end technologies—particularly Java Spring Boot—is a plus. The engineer will work closely with a cross-functional Scrum team—including product, design, back-end, and DevOps partners—to build responsive and accessible features that support our business and user needs. 

Candidates should bring experience in modern development practices, strong proficiency with component-driven front-end design, and an ability to collaborate effectively in an agile development environment. Familiarity with Craft CMS (PHP-based) is a plus, particularly for projects involving content-driven implementations. 
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
•    Software Development and Maintenance: Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable front-end solutions using Vue, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Contributing to back-end integration using Java Spring Boot and ensure a cohesive, end-to-end experience. 
•    Problem Solving and Innovation: Proactively identifying technical challenges and collaborating on innovative solutions that align with development best practices and architectural standards. 
•    Technical Documentation: Writing clear, comprehensive documentation to support feature development, system architecture, and deployment standards. 
•    Quality Assurance and Code Review: Participating in peer code reviews, testing, and other quality assurance practices to uphold coding standards, accessibility, and maintainability. 
•    DevOps Collaboration: Partnering with DevOps team to ensure smooth deployments, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. 
•    Industry Knowledge and Trends: Staying current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and trends in both frontend and backend development to bring continuous improvement to the team. 
•    Other duties as assigned. 
 
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
   3+ years front-end development experience with Vue
•    3+ years experience with TypeScript and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind)
•    2+ years CMS development
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.  
 
IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:
•    Content Management Systems: Familiarity with CMS platforms like Craft CMS (based on Yii PHP framework); experience with PHP is a plus.
